Excellent pizza, wine selection and the staff are wonderful. We've returned over the years and have tried many things on the menu and have always left full in belly and Gustavo is the best waiter in our restaurant going history.

Penne Pomodoro

Wow! I really love this place. The food is fantastic. We had about 3 appetizers and split a pizza. So so good! Love that you get a lemoncello shot at the end. Loved it so much I bought a bottle for home!

Orecchiette Braciole

Of all the dishes we sampled this was the standout! Perfectly al dente pasta in a satisfying yet light sauce and the braciole was tender and flavorful. Can't wait to order again.

Cavatelli al forno

Decadent and substantial warmth in bowl, my go to favorite whenever I visit Macello's and it never disappoints. There is just something about an oven baked pasta dish that elevates the flavor and adds spectacular textural element and the meat sauce is so delicious and comforting. Macello's is also one of the few places in the city with a decent offering of gluten free pastas that taste just as a good as any other pasta. The restaurants warm and inviting atmosphere make it a perfect spot for dates and gatherings and perfectly situated a short distance from the rest of congested West Loop eateries.

Chilean SeaBass

I have tried sea bass dinners in many different restaurants in Chicago and far beyond, and feel none can compare to the tender, moist fish that Macello's consistently prepares. The mushroom risotto beneath it is cooked to perfection and is a great accompaniment to the sea bass. Every time I visit I say I am going to try a different entree, but it is impossible for me to resist this meal. I know I will never be disappointed.
